Sandra Sousa is a data engineer, grassroots organizer, and proud Portuguese Canadian, living in Davenport with her partner and two young children. Her immigrant parents arrived in Canada in the early 1970s and instilled in her a strong sense of social justice and commitment to community. Now as a mother, Sandra is deeply invested in creating a future where every child has access to the opportunities they deserve.
With over a decade of experience in engineering and tech, Sandra specializes in studying complex systems, solving hard problems, and delivering real solutions. She is determined to bring her practical approach and innovative spirit to Ottawa as Davenport’s next Member of Parliament.
Sandra believes it’s time for bold, transformative action. From economic stability and climate action to affordable housing and workers’ rights, Sandra is committed to fighting for a just transition to a sustainable, equitable, and healthy economy. She will work tirelessly to build a system that puts people and the planet first.
Sandra is a strong advocate for democracy and grassroots activism. She helped mobilize hundreds of her neighbours in Davenport to demand a ceasefire and arms embargo in response to the ongoing violence in Palestine, inspiring others across the city in the process.
With integrity, courage, and a clear vision, Sandra is committed to challenging the status quo and bringing real, progressive change to the federal government.
